Dingwall Voodoo (Z2) from the 1999 NAMM Show
This has to be one of the most special Dingwalls I have ever had the pleasure to behold.
This beautiful one-owner Voodoo bass (now known as a Z2) was on display at the Dingwall booth for the 1999 NAMM Show.
Sheldon has confirmed this is the second Z2 to leave the shop.
The owner purchased it directly from Sheldon. In the gig bag, you will find the original 4-page owner's manual, the setup tools, and even the packaging inserts from a set of Dingwall Voodoo Strings from its first string change.
Unsurprisingly, this bass has been exceptionally well cared for, and it shows only the slightest signs of gentle use. I have checked it out thoroughly, and it is 100% perfect mechanically and electrically.
It plays just as great as every modern Z bass I have had the pleasure to play, and the Bartolini pickups and 3-band Bartolini EQ sound fantastic - clear, growly, punchy -- in short, it sounds like a Dingwall! It has the usual 4-way rotary pickup selector, so you can solo either pickup, or have both in series, or both in parallel.
Bonus: This bass weighs only 8.41 lbs.!
Whether you are looking for an awesome Z bass without the usual wait, or you are a Dingwall aficionado wanting to add a very rare, special and important piece of Dingwall history to your Dingwall collection, this bass may be just what you were looking for!
I don't expect it will last long, so if this is the one for you, don't hesitate to grab it!
Free shipping to Continental USA. Local pickup is always welcome as well.
