John Fox Bass - Store Policies
At this time, shipping to the 48 continental United States will be provided free of charge for all items, regardless of size or weight. An additional charge will be added for shipments outside of the "lower 48". If you are outside of the continental United States, contact us before purchasing to have the correct shipping charge added to your order.
Sales Tax Policy:
John Fox Bass is a New Jersey based business. All local sales (items picked up in person or shipped to any New Jersey address) are taxable at 6.625%.
John Fox Bass guarantees you will be 100% satisfied with every aspect your purchase. If you are not satisfied, a refund will be given, according to the Refund Policy below, when the New or Used item has been returned (at your expense) and verified by John Fox Bass to be in the same condition in which you received it. To return an item, you must notify John Fox Bass by telephone or email within 3 business days of receiving the item that you wish to return it. Then John Fox Bass must receive the item within 10 business days from the date you received the item. John Fox Bass reserves the right to refuse to accept for return any item that has been serviced or modified in any way by any unauthorized person (including by the customer or any other person, regardless of qualifications) without prior written authorization from John Fox Bass. In most cases, items that have been serviced or modified without prior written authorization will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense.
Refunds will be given via the same payment method that was used for the original purchase.
New items that can still be sold as New may be returned for a full refund (less actual incurred shipping costs and any unrecoverable payment processing fees such as PayPal fees, etc.) within 10 days of receiving the item.
New, factory sealed packages (such as amplifiers and speakers) that were opened by you will incur a 15% restocking fee if you simply "changed your mind", since they can no longer be sold as "New". If the item is defective, it will be repaired or replaced under the Warranty Policy at no charge.
Used items will be refunded in full, less any actual shipping costs incurred by John Fox Bass, and less any unrecoverable payment processing fees such as PayPal fees, etc..
Actual incurred repair or restoration costs will also be subtracted from your refund for any New or Used items that are returned with new damage or wear and tear caused by you.
In all cases, the customer must pay for return shipping, and the actual shipping cost that was incurred by John Fox Bass to ship the item to the customer will be subtracted from the refund unless the item was not as described.
All new products purchased from John Fox Bass are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. In the unlikely event that you experience a warranty issue, John Fox Bass will be happy to assist you in working with the manufacturer to get the issue resolved. In certain cases, the item can be returned to John Fox Bass for repair or replacement.
All new instruments, used gear and floor models are tested before shipping, and guaranteed to be fully operational unless otherwise stated.
John Fox Bass is willing to consider trades for basses that are highly marketable.
However, just like the big box music stores, you will receive about half of the current expected retail sale price.
So it is in your best interest to sell your bass yourself if possible.
John Fox Bass will accept certain gear for consignment, on a case by case basis.
You will receive 75% of the final selling price (not including sales tax.)
